Jay Banerjee is a disciple of Pandit Sanjoy Banerjee. Pandit Sanjoy Banerjee is a leading vocalist and torch bearer of Kirana Gharana.

Jay has been learning, performing and teaching Hindustani Classical Music for nearly two and half decades.  

Jay had the opportunity to perform in various concerts in the USA. Including the Raga revival in North Carolina, all night music festival at Chhanadayan – Tablaphilia. He accompanied his Guru Pandit Sanjoy Banerjee at the prestigious Rubin center in New York.

Previously, Jay studied Hindustani classical vocal with Sri Sandeep Ranade of Mewati Gharana. Jay also studied music with Smt. Deepa Banerjee, and Sri Krishna Kanta Acharya.
